It has been awhile!

Well, I am a bad blogger. I got caught up with life, family and work and neglected my art blog! I'm not promising it won't happen again, but at least I am posting today!

What have I been up to?

Well, I am once again a full time artist. Busy as a bee and thankful for the business! I had a baby last September, and I consider her my greatest work of art. She is my joy!

I've started a new style of work called my ikat/chevron pieces. They came about when I was playing around in the studio. I love when that happens!

I have also been painting my share of animals and people.

I'm going to try and post more often. I thank you for keeping up with me!- Jenn

Makeover and NEW STUFF

Well my website is getting revamped- it will no longer be a blog. I will continue my art blog, but it will be just that, an art blog. My sweet friend Tish is helping me with it! I can't wait!

Here is some of the new stuff I've been working on. I have been a busy painter bee!

It is a wonderful show full of great art from East Texas artists! I recommend you all go take a peak! It runs until November 30th.

Think PINK!

This past Saturday I headed to Dallas (Knox Henderson) for the Rising Gallery's PINK art event. I donated my Cow Love painting to be auctioned off to the highest bidder. Breast Cancer is near and dear because my sweet Memaw beat it twice. My sister Julie, bestie Heidi and our friend Summer all came with me. We had a LOT of fun!

Me and Dr. Heidi with Cow Love... Cow Love brought in some serious dough! I couldn't have been happier!

Gallery owners and brothers, Bryan and Taber Wetz, wore pink converse to honor their mother who died 10 years ago after her battle with breast cancer. She would be so proud of them!

P.S. I am showing my work at this gallery in April. I am SO EXCITED. I think it is the perfect gallery for me in Dallas!

New Abstracts and Caffe Tazza Art Show Photos!

The owner of Caffe Tazza, Jane Keller, told me she was looking for a couple of matching gold and white paintings for her home. At the show Thursday, she had on the most gorgeous color gold top and mixed with all sorts of gold crystal and beaded necklaces. She totally inspired me to paint these two abstracts. They are hers if she wants them, otherwise they are $400 each if anyone is interested. They are both 30"x40", and if no one buys them I might have to redo my living room! Sorry about the poor photos, I will take better ones outside tomorrow. They are still damp.

I had an AMAZING turnout at my show on Thursday! I love seeing everyone!! My family always comes and my sweet friends always come support me. Caffe Tazza also makes the BEST latte I've ever had, an oh so tasty cheese plate and the most AMAZING carrot cake ever! Greg and I even went back this morning. It is our favorite place to go!

YUM! The ceramic hand-painted Italian coffee cups add so much luxury to their tasty lattes!

Me and my greatest supporter- my hubby!

Me and Tish! Love her hair and that she walks around with library books! :)

NYLO Hotel Las Colinas Grand Opening!

Last Thursday I attended the NYLO Hotel's big grand opening in Las Colinas. It was so neat to see my Longhorn on the wall in the lobby/bar! It was a great party, and one of the coolest hotels I have ever seen! Go check it out if you are ever in the area. Say hello to my Longhorn!

Here is my little Crazy Owl that I donated to the hotel for their charity auction benefiting the Make A Wish Foundation.
